In other Karina and Elias news, their CaringBridge page was updated by Dan Schulte (husband and father) last night. Among other news:
It was another long week but mostly a good one. Elias and Karina are both now out of the ICU and continue to show many signs of improvement. They are both adjusting very well to their new surroundings.
Although Elias had another surgery this week, he is holding very strong and he’s acting and looking like himself again. He’s even eating from a bottle occasionally as part of a feeding trial. I’m hopeful he’ll go home sometime in the coming weeks as he continues to make big improvements. Daddy needs lots of training on the special care he deserves, which will be a big part of that transition when the time comes. He’s such an amazingly strong little guy, takes after his mama!
